FAQ
1 / When should I book in?
We recommend booking between week 30-36 of your pregnancy. Any time during your pregnancy is welcome though. Your body, your preference!
2 / Is 3D photography safe?
The camera and technology is not harmful to you or your baby. The camera uses white light flashes throughout the scanning process.
3 / Will I need to be naked?
To best capture the details of your bump and body we recommend to pose naked. The camera is highly detailed so clothing can detract from the body form. If you prefer though, you can wear seamless underwear which we can aim to smooth out in post production.
4 / How do I prepare for the appointment?
You may like to consider the style of pose you would like prior to attending. We can discuss the right pose for you and practice on the day but it always helps to come prepared with your preference. This helps us to maximise your time with scan quality and discuss finish preferences on day of appointment. There is no other preparation required, no tan/makeup/hair glamour required (yay!). We capture your body just how it is. Jewellery will need to be removed for the scanning so leave it at home, otherwise safe storage will be provided at the appointment.
5 / What do I bring to the appointment?
Just yourself, that beautiful bump, and a robe if you like for comfort before/after the scan, or seamless underwear if you prefer not to pose naked.
6 / Do I have to choose my final design immediately?
No, you have time to decide. We can discuss options at your appointment and you can see examples of finished pieces to help you decide.
7 / How detailed is the sculpture?
In post-production your sculpture is smoothed out to support a balance of raw and refined finish. That means we may remove some cellulite or bumps, but we don’t have to. We leave essential details including nipples, or important scars and dimples.
8 / When will I receive my sculpture?
Due to the nature of the detailed artwork design process there is some time to wait for the finished piece. We aim to have your stunning piece of art completed and posted to you 12 weeks following your appointment.
9 / Do you post my sculpture?
Sure do. Delivery is arranged to your nominated address, so if there are any changes/move in the post production phase you will need to let us know. Shipping is included in the total cost. Shipping outside of Australia will incur extra fee.
10 / Can I order more than one sculpture?
Sure can! Sometimes it is impossible to decide just one pose or perhaps you want to keep one and gift one, or perhaps you want one in every corner of your room (we support self-love!). We offer a special deal for additional sculptures. If you would like more than one sculpture of varied poses this can also be arranged, just indicate on day of booked appointment so we can provide time for additional scan options.
11 / Is this only for pregnant women?
We do love the bumps, but we also celebrate other life milestones or personal sculpture reasons. We embrace all bodies and personal growth stories and want everyone to have their own personal sculpture. Get in touch with your personal request.
12 / Where is the appointment?
We are based in Brisbane, QLD and currently offer sessions at our Manly studio or in some cases at your home. Address and parking details will be provided upon booking. At different times of the year we provide pop ups in locations across Australia. All current pop up sessions are indicated on the website. If you do not see your town or city listed feel free to reach out for a request.
13 / What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. So if you deliver early and can no longer attend we offer full refund of the booking deposit within this timeframe.
14 / Do you offer gift vouchers?
Not yet, but stay tuned.
